Employment Services Self Evaluation (PDF file) - We have developed this 9-page document to help CRPs evaluate their Employment Services in an objective way.

13 Competencies for Employment Services Staff (PDF file) - We convened a set of consumer and CRP focus groups to develop a list of core competencies that all staff providing Employment Services should meet. These competencies form the basis of our ES training program.

Primer for Rehabilitation Administration Financial Management training (PDF) Tom Sechrist, the instructor for this course, has developed a Financial Management Primer which covers the basics of the accounting process. This is very helpful to give you some background in accounting terminology and will facilitate your understanding of concepts presented in class.

More Than A Job: a Self-Determination Career Development Model. This site is sponsored by the Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services. It provides information on how to support people with disabilities in making informed decisions about their own career paths. The site provides a tutorial, self-directed quizzes, and numerous support documents. From our sister agency, RCEP7.

Social Security Work Incentives Manual - an explaination of the basics of Social Security Work Incentives, with examples and resources for Region 7 states. From our sister agency, RCEP at the University of Missouri.

Handbook of Disabilities - A detailed, disability by disability discussion of employment and independent livining implications for the most common significant disabilities, including descriptions of basic medical and treatment issues. From our sister agency, RCEP7.

SSA BPAO Website - SSA funds a series of Benefits Planning and Assistance programs throughout the US, and Region 7 hosts one of the primary training centeres for these BPAO specialists. Although much of this site is restricted to BPAO projects only, there is some basic referral information that can be helpful.

Job Accommodations Network (JAN) - a nationally renown website listing specific job accommodations and technologies for a wide range of disabilities.

National APSE (Formerly the "Association for Persons in Supported Employment") - an organization of people working in supported employment, with the goal of improving integrated employment opportunities, services, and outcomes for persons experiencing disabilities.
